Only the Ruling Emperor/Empress and the first three heirs are of “Holy Imperial” rank.
Once a First Holy Heir ascends the Throne the next three in rank rise one “step” up. As The Empress gives birth to Her Heirs each of the others become one “step” lower in rank.
Example Holy Heir ascends; the Second Holy Heir becomes the First Holy Heir, the Third Holy Heir becomes Second and the next in line becomes the Third Holy Heir.
As the Heirs are born the process continues.

All others born into the “Imperial” house are one “step” below (High Imperial) their parents in peerage rank.
All other ranks are considered Not of The Holy Imperial House and are not of rank to marry into the Holy Imperial House.

General Information
All children born are one rank below their parents (using the highest ranked). Only the heir rises in rank when they assume the power and authority of the parent(s).
None may marry more than five ranks below their own without Imperial decree.
In marriage the man gains all lands, powers and authority that the woman may own or be heir of unless a contract of marriage stipulates otherwise.
